Insurance is a valuable risk transfer tool that builds the resilience of rural populations and reduce the vulnerability of the agricultural economy and national food security.
Given the challenges faced in obtaining historical crop related data in emerging countries, we are using various technologies like remote sensing & IOT devices to enable insurance companies to offer a structured weather index insurance as a first step to mitigate rainfall related risks.
FarmAgg is a self-evolving platform that is designed to deliver future ready technologies to enable smallholder farmers to enter the food supply value chain digitally. First we create a digital footprint with a farm management system to enable farmers to better organize their resources and operations. Once on board we use GIS, IoT Sensors and Remote Sensing technologies to deliver real time decision-making tools that bring consistency and sustainability.
